Chiltern Counsellors Network was established in 2016 by two BACP registered and accredited counsellors.
The network is a group of private practitioner, each committed to offering accessible, affordable counselling to adults living in the Chilterns area.
All our counsellors have completed at least three years of professional training, have substantial experience in counselling are members of professional bodies such as BACP and UKCP.
The core counselling modality for all our network counsellors is a psychodynamic approach to therapy.
As members of BACP and UKCP we are bound by those bodies' ethical frameworks for good practice. This includes a commitment to on-going professional development, regular meetings with a qualified supervisor and professional liability insurance cover.
Consultations are normally available both at Chartridge Lodge in Chesham and across a wide referral network in the Chilterns.
Our counsellors offer clients weekly 50-minute sessions, at the same time and on the same day every week, so that a sense of continuity and containment can develop.
HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE: While restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic continue, our counsellors are only offering counselling sessions remotely - either by telephone or an online video service such as Zoom, Skype, Facetime or similar.
